The video below took place at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina ((910) 452-8633).
New Hanover Regional Medical Center President Shelbourn Stevens, Doctor Mary Kathryn Rudyk, and Director of Marketing Carolyn Fisher, discussed how to inflate COVID numbers during a marketing communication meeting.
Dr. Rudyk said, “There are many people still hospitalized that we’re considering post-COVID, so how do we include post-COVID in the number of patients we have in the hospital?”
Carolyn Fisher responds, “So is that all the people who have been in the hospital since the beginning of COVID?”
Dr. Rudyk responds that she’s referring to patients that are still in the hospital, that are off the COVID floor, but that are still occupying the hospital for a “variety of reasons.”
Dr. Rudyk specifically says in the video “for a variety of reasons.” She does not specifically refer to COVID complications…not once.
The hospital system is now trying to say that she was referring to COVID long haulers. However, they offer no evidence as to whether these people were actually still in the hospital because of COVID complications or because of preexisting conditions. For instance, these patients may be suffering from advanced age. Or they might have already been in hospice care. Or they may have contracted COVID while in the hospital for something else and completely recovered from COVID, but not their other conditions.
All of the above described scenarios could be included in Dr. Rudyk’s proposal as evidenced by her exact statement in the video at 1:18, saying “patients that are still in the hospital, that are off the COVID floor, but still are occupying the hospital for a variety of reasons.”
And the hospital’s excuse for this attempt to artificially inflate the COVID statistics is hardly trustworthy considering the outrageous LIE in Dr. Rudyk’s final statement in the video.
“You know if you don’t get vaccinated, you are going to die.” Then she laughs. “Let’s just be really blunt with these people.”
Here is the exact statement that a hospital spokesperson released in response to the leaked video:
“The team members involved in this excerpt of an internal meeting are seeing the highest level of COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths so far in this pandemic – despite having safe and effective vaccines widely available. This was a frank discussion among medical and communications professionals on how we can more accurately convey the severity and seriousness of what’s happening inside of our hospitals and throughout our communities. Specifically, the data we have been sharing does not include patients who remain hospitalized for COVID-19 complications even though they are no longer COVID-19 positive, so it does not provide a complete picture of the total impact of COVID-19 on our patients and on our hospitals. We continue to be concerned with the amount of misinformation in our communities and consistently strive for more ways to be transparent and tell the whole story. The continued rise of hospitalizations makes it evident that we have more work to do to reach our communities with these messages.”
They’re so BRAZEN that they declare a rise in hospitalizations as their excuse for a leaked marketing video of them plotting to artificially inflate hospitalization statistics.
They simply doubled down on their lies.
This is a crime. It’s terrorism, LITERALLY.
The entire economy was shut down because of information like this. Lives were destroyed. Businesses destroyed. People DIED because of these lies through suicide, medical mistakes, and CIVIL UNREST. People were prevented from comforting dying friends and relatives in the hospital based on these LIES.
Human beings spent the last moments of their lives alone, afraid, and in the hands of people like the ones in this video because of these LIES.
